Ever wonder what a podcast is?
Take the word "broadcast" and marry it with Apple's portable mp3 device, the "iPod," and you get a "podcast." According to the Wikipedia definition, podcasting "is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost." Podcasts are generally audio programs that you can download or subscribe to, meaning you can listen to them when you want and where you want. No longer is the listener bound by the constraints of specific broadcast times. With a simple computer, you can access millions of files about topics that interest you, at your convenience. You can also transfer the audio files to a portable MP3 player and take them with you for even more flexibility.
What is RSS? RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. With the click of a button, you can automatically subscribe to a podcast and have new episodes delivered straight to your computer as soon as they are available.
