Calling all John Irving fans! We are very excited to publish In One Person on May 8, 2012. Several readers in our office are raving about it, and we wanted to give you a chance to win an advance reading copy before the finished books appear in stores!

This is a story of unfulfilled love—tormented, funny, and affecting—and an intimate, unforgettable portrait of the novel’s bisexual narrator and main character, Billy Abbott. As Billy says: “We are formed by what we desire.”

I am really looking forward to this latest book of John Irving’s. He is right at the top of my favourite writers list. I have read all of his books and own most of them as well. I think he captures dark humour better than anyone.

A Prayer for Owen Meaney got my husband reading fiction again. This began a creative process whereby he went back to college to study English literature and subsequently obtained his MPhil in theatre and playwriting. Amazing how one book can change a persons life. Thank you John Irving.

Who didn’t ready World According to Garp? I started reading it at the same time as Breakfast of Champions, and will forever link the two authors, John Irving and Kurt Vonnegut. Imagination without gravity to hold them down. Can’t wait for the new book, Thanks you for this opportunity JOHN!

Each time there is a new Irving release, I become a giddy schoolgirl hopped up with anticipation and excitement, capable of screeching sounds never before thought humanly possible. Or something. :) I really want to win an advanced copy of this one!!!!
