The Scotiabank Giller Prize is perhaps the most prestigious literary award in Canada, one that the entire industry awaits with bated breath. For the very first time, The Scotiabank Giller Prize and CBC Books is asking Canadian readers to help choose a book for the 2011 longlist.

To sweeten the pot, CBC Books is giving away prizes! One lucky reader is going to win the amazing Grand Prize – a trip to Toronto to attend the Scotiabank Giller Prize ceremony! Every nomination is an entry, so what are you waiting for? To nominate a book, simply fill out this form, or visit this page to see which books have already been nominated.

Now, we could never choose just one out of the 34 qualifying books we’re publishing this year, but we can give you a little taste of each one and wish you all luck in the Readers’ Choice contest.
